  • date

    Wednesday, July 11th, 2018

  • location

2000 La Crosse St, La Crosse, WI 54601

  • time

    9:00pm

Wednesday evening, July 11, meet at the Myrick Park Center parking lot at 9:00 pm and we’ll get organized for a 9:30 start. Surveys take place 30 minutes after sunset, and on Wednesday the sun will set at 8:47 pm. We’ll split up into teams to cover the several sites. Long sleeve shirts, long pants, a cap, bug repellant, and a flashlight will be a good idea. You may want to prepare to hear (these are possibilities): American Toad, Gay Treefrog, Cope’s Gray Treefrog, Blanchard’s Cricket Frog, Green Frog, and American Bullfrog. Experience and expertise is not necessary. This is a good opportunity to take part in a citizen science project and explore a part of our natural surroundings that we rarely visit. We’ll supply survey forms, clip boards, and thermometers.
